Junior Golf

Up

Over 160 junior golfers enroll in the Claycrest junior golf program annually.  Claycrest boasts one of the most successful programs in the Kansas City metropolitan area.   Private and group golf instruction is given year round or by appointment.  The junior golf program begins June 12, 2009 and runs through Friday, August 14, 2009.  You can pre-register starting May 1, 2009 by calling or stopping by the pro- shop.  The cost is $80.00 per child and fees are not collected until Friday, June 12, 2009 (the first day of junior golf).  Registration begins on June 12, 2009 at 8:00 am.  On that day, parents and juniors receive their member packets, rules, golf balls, tees, and clubs if needed.  The golf clinic begins at 9:00 am on the practice range.  Juniors spend time on the golf course learning about the game and about golf course care.

The starting times are important.  Pairings are made early in the morning and the entire group is split into two categories (par and birdie).  Juniors arriving late could spend the entire day on the practice range even if they are scheduled for the course.  All lady juniors are paired together.  See the schedule below for more information.
